Shark Follows Hooman Around Like a Dog for 20 Years and It's Overwhelmingly Wholesome

    Water - Emma is a very large, friendly tiger shark.

    Water - She's quite simply a gentle giant.

    Water - Little did I know that,

    Water - almost 20 years later she'd still be following me around.

    Water - When Emma first swam [by], she was afraid.

    Water - Like all wild sharks, they're inherently afraid of humans.

    Water - But over a period of time,

    Vertebrate - she gained a sense of trust.

    Water - She would come closer and closer,

    Liquid - until finally she was close enough that I could actually

    Water - Every time that she comes close to me, I'd rub the top of her head.

    Water - remove the hooks that she inevitably gets.

    Water - Once she gained a sense of trust,

    Water - and she knew I would never hurt her,

    Water - she would follow me around, everywhere I go.

    Water - you It's quite remarkable to see this

    Water - enormous, wild animal actually seeking out affection.

    Water - And she does this every time that I'm with her.
